Up for sale is this vintage 1950s Gibson L48 Archtop Acoustic Guitar L-48 With Case. This sunburst colored guitar is in it original condition and comes from a single owner. As you can see in the pictures, this vintage Gibson Guitar is in excellent condition with only some minor signs of wear. You will notice though that the tuning pegs have worn down over the many years of this Guitar's life. This is not uncommon on a Guitar of this vintage nature. A very rare find for any Guitar collector, especially in its original condition! The serial number on the inside of this guitar is X47729. Here is some additional information about the Gibson L-48 Archtop Guitar...

Materials: Rare solid flamed mahogany top, back and sides; solid mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, parallelogram fingerboard inlay, bound top and back.

Hardware: 100% original hardware, including compensated Brazilian rosewood bridge, tortoise pickguard, Kluson nickel-plated tuners, nickel trapeze tailpiece, original frets.

Notes: The L-48 model was introduced by Gibson in 1946, and remained in production until 1971. It has the same scale length and body size as the L-4 and the ES-175. Easy to hold and fun to play, the fast scale allows for nimble soloing and easier fingering of stretch chord voicings.
